About Key

As a fifth grader and new Boy Scout in Troop 82, I created my first cross with a rope lashing to be displayed in my front yard to celebrate Easter. Neighbors began making requests for crosses, which resulted in a business called Key’s Crosses. Over the years I have built more than 1,000 crosses, including custom crosses for Mercy Street, the Salvation Army and Reconciliation Outreach. The two crosses I created for Reconciliation Outreach were part of my Eagle Scout Project.

In the past, I donated a large portion of the proceeds to Clayton Kershaw’s Foundation and to first responders and medical staff during the pandemic. On Memorial Day in 2020, I donated 100 crosses for the Carry the Load Dallas event recognizing the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, the most valuable thing we have in this great country!

Today, I am a senior at the University of North Texas on a golf scholarship majoring in Business. I am a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church and enjoy playing the guitar and hunting. My parents are Katherine and Key Coker, and I have younger sister named Olivia who attends the University of Texas.

Thank you for your consideration, and I hope you have a happy Easter. If you have any questions, please email me at keyscrosses@yahoo.com
